Stormy Sunrise [Clouds Photos]
Uploaded: March 03, 2011 19:44:54
Sunbeams were sneaking through a break in the clouds off the right side of this photo, to provide some nice cloud color, while rain was falling from darker clouds out over the Pacific. And there are also the reflections of the clouds, cliffs, and beacon to complete this dramatic scene (along with some ominous looking dark gray clouds over the lighthouse). Isn’t it an interesting sunrise?

It is interesting, but so much more. Everything about the sky has excellent composition from the diagonal clouds above, which are reflected in the water on the beach, to the beautiful orange and gold of the sunrise. This is so well seen, captured, and is beautifully processed making for a magnificent sunrise. Congratulations on your well earned and stunning POTD, Randall. #9353537Susan D. Royce April 16, 2011

Incredible sky Randall, and your photos at thedailysunset.com are breathtaking! Congratulations! The farthest north I've been on the West Coast is Trinidad Beach. Living in the Midwest, I don't get out there often, but I have a sister in Humboldt County. You've definitely re-inspired me to see the Pacific Northwest! Thank you!~ Leslie
